THE CLUB
High-level training.
Coaches who actually care.
We meet your daughter where she is, push her to exactly where she needs to be, and make sure she knows we’re in her corner. For over 17 years, we’ve helped Sonoma County athletes grow, as players and as people, whether they’re brand new to club volleyball or chasing a college roster spot.
What We Believe
Four commitments behind every practice and lineup decision. These aren’t words on a wall. They’re in our handbook, and we hold every coach to them.
One coaching standard.
Every team runs the same fundamental systems, and our Director of Player Development mentors and supervises every coach. From footwork to arm swing, your daughter gets the same detailed training no matter which team she’s on.
No drama. No favorites.
She deserves coaches who care about her and a culture where she feels safe to make mistakes, try new positions, and focus on getting better. Effort and attitude earn court time. She’ll know what’s expected, and so will you.
Compete with purpose.
We play to win. But we measure success by how hard she competes on every point, how she handles a tough loss, and whether she’s a better player in May than she was in November.
The game stays fun.
We’re a competitive club, but competition and joy aren’t opposites. Practices end on a positive note. Tournaments should be exciting, not stressful. She should walk off the court loving this sport more than when she walked on.
Our priority order
Source Member handbook
Family
Non-negotiable. Before everything.
School
Student first. Athlete second. However good she gets on the court, a scholarship still takes the grades.
Volleyball
She picked this; we coach it. No exclusivity requirements. No restrictions on other sports.
We love this sport. But we keep it in perspective.
Your daughter is a student and a family member first, and we’ll never ask her to choose volleyball over what matters most.
Leadership
Club Director
Craig Hardisty
Running Aftershock since its founding in 2009. A volleyball dad whose two daughters played club for eight years, so he's seen the sport from both sides. Have questions about club volleyball? Craig's the one to talk to.
