What to Expect

Each tryout session lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Players go through drills, exercises, and game play.

Our coaches are evaluating her physical skills, but they care just as much about her hustle, how she listens, and how she treats the girls next to her.

After Tryouts

We don't play games with roster spots. Coaches call within a week of the final tryout.

If she's offered a spot, we'll tell you exactly what team, what role we envision for her, and who her coach will be, so you can make an informed decision for your family. We do our best to place her on a team that matches her skill level and goals.

Mandatory

Parent & team meeting

Sunday, November 1, 2026

Location TBD

If she accepts a spot, you'll meet her coach, get uniform sizing, finish paperwork, and make the first payment.

Bring 4 or 5 post-dated checks. One per installment on the payment plan you choose.

Can't make it? Let us know before you accept a spot.

Letters of Commitment

As tryout season begins, you'll likely encounter a “Letter of Commitment” — a one-season contract binding your daughter to a specific club. Before you sign anywhere, here's what to know:

Aftershock is NCVA. If you've signed a commitment letter for a WCVA club, it does not apply to us. You can still try out for Aftershock.

Within the NCVA, Letters of Commitment do matter. They prevent club-hopping. If you've committed to another NCVA club, you'll need a release to try out elsewhere.

Before signing, confirm the club's association (NCVA or WCVA) and carefully read the refund and release policies.

Can't Attend?

If she can't attend either scheduled tryout date, submit a make-up request and we'll do our best to arrange an alternative session. Make-up sessions are not guaranteed and depend on coaching availability and open roster spots.
