Christine Vaishville

Christine began her volleyball career as a player here in the Bay Area. She played as a strong outside hitter for both Holy Names High School in Oakland and Mercy High School in San Francisco. After graduating from high school Christine went on to study at the University of California Berkeley where she played on an Intramurals team for grass doubles as well as an indoor co-ed team. After college Christine knew she could not leave volleyball and her love for the game behind so she continued to play for recreation on various women’s teams as well as for the Airport Club. At this time Christine also discovered that she not only had a love for playing the game, but a passion for coaching it as well. She began coaching a boys’ team, grades 5th and 6th, at St. Johns in Healdsburg. She coached at St. Johns for two years before moving over to coaching co-ed teams at the 7th and 8th grade level at Windsor Christian Academy, where she was a coach for nine years. Christine was also the athletic director for six years at Windsor Christian Academy. In 2012 Christine began coaching with Aftershock Volleyball Club in our 12 and under division and we are very pleased to have her on board.
