Coaching Experience
I have 2 years assistant coaching with Aftershock, and I currently coach Healdsburg Junior High both 7th and 8th grade.
Coaching Qualifications
This year I completed the USA Volleyball NFHS Coaching Fundamentals course, First Aid Certified, CPR certified including AED Defibrillator use. I have also completed a Life Coaching course with Landmark Education. I can teach young teens how to have good self esteem and keep a positive outlook when playing any game. In the past 2 years with Aftershock I was taught how to break down Volleyball skills to teach correct forms for each skill needed. I have a lot of patience for first time players.
Coaching Philosophy
My philosophy is to always be kind and patient with players as well as encouraging. To never give up and help players work through what they think they can’t do.
What do you like best about coaching?
I love when I can teach a skill that gets applied and the player grows from there, it’s very satisfying. I also love watching a group of girls come together and become friends from strangers.
Personal Fact
I have worn many hats during my lifetime. I’ve been a lifeguard, firefighter, sold cars, got my real estate lic., rented furniture, Sunday school teacher and property manager for 22 years.
